Shopping Tip
All girls playing at U16 should by now have a second/spare hurl as part of their kit. The girls are now at the stage where hurls can easily be broken during matches and they need a spare hurl of the same size and weight to be ready on the sideline for such an occurrence. Also there may be some wear and tear on hurls as the girls become more skilled at tackling and hooking their opponents. Even plastic hurls can suffer damage and lose their effectiveness over time. If you are looking to buy a new hurl then the best advice is to go for a shorter and lighter hurl as the image below explains:
