CLUB NOTES 17th May 2016

U/16 hurlers remain top of their division after a great win at home against St Pats last Tues. Speedy recovery to Ciaran Nagle who broke a finger. U/15 hurlers had a fine win away to Thomas Davis last Thurs, they now go into the summer break on top of Div 2. Well done to all involved.

Congratulations to Jack McVeigh and the Dublin Minor hurlers who had a wonderful win over Kilkenny on Sat.

Fixtures for the coming week:-

On Tues 17th AHL5 play Ballinteer St Johns @ 19:15 in Marlay Park, AHL6 take on Civil Service in Tymon Nth also @ 19:15, Snr 2 Camogie play St Vincents @ 19:30 on the M50 pitch and U/15A Camogie are also up against St Vincent’s @ 19:30 in St Vincents.

On Wed 18th AHL 2 are at home to Parnells @ 19:15.

On Sunday all 3 adult hurling teams have League games, AHL2 are up first @ 10:30 against Setanta in Club Teach Setanta, AHL5 are at home to St Vincent’s @ 12:00 and AHL6 play Na Fianna also at home @ 12:00.

On Monday last we had our annual ‘Schools Project Night’ when 60 projects were displayed, the standard was unbelievable, well done to every single student who took the time to produce such awesome projects. Thank you to Ger Cunningham for presenting the winners with their prizes. The evening was brilliant!

It was with great sadness that we learned of the death of our dear friend, former Faughs hurler Joe Noone, we extend our deepest sympathy to Joe’s family & friends. Deepest sympathy to Harriet French on the death of her sister Elsie, and also to Phil Verdon on the death of his brother Paddy.
