HOMEWORK

If Working in TWOS

Strike from hand x 10 to partner who controls with one touch and returns varying every second one struck low and high (strong side)

Strike from hand x 10 to partner who controls with one touch and returns varying every second one struck low and high (weak side)

Solo ball on ground two touches and strike to partner on the partner controls and returns x 10 repeat on weak side

Rising Ball x 10 with emphasis on low body position and accelerate for 5 to 10 metres after getting ball in hand

Striking from hand aim to catch from partner and return x 10

Strike from hand on the run to partner x 10 (emphasis is to strike while moving)

If available the FAUGSH ball wall (or other) – it is ideal to play HURLEY SQUASH controlling and returning opponent’s shot

On Own

Run over 20 metres making full swing x 3 without a ball – repeat x 5

Solo ball on the ground ideally around 2 to 3 cones – then strike on the run – repeat x 5

Rising Ball x 10 with emphasis on low body position and accelerate for 5 to 10 metres after getting ball in hand

If there is a wall (safely) – strike x 10 aiming to control on HURLEY with one touch and into hand

Strike from hand on the run to advance ball 10 metres or so with emphasis to strike while moving – repeat x 5 (strong side)

Strike from hand on the run to advance ball 10 metres or so with emphasis to strike while moving – repeat x 5 (weak side)
