CLUB NOTES 10th NOVEMBER 2019

Well done to U21 hurlers who drew with St. Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh in the championship on Saturday. This was a ding dong battle with the scores level several times during ordinary time and even extra time couldn’t separate the sides. It ended in a draw 18pts. each ! Time and venue for replay will be announced shortly.
In camogie Minor 2s had a good win over Good Counsel while Minor 5s drew with Naomh Pádraig. Junior team lost narrowly to Erins Isle in the Championship Shield.
Well done to all concerned and thanks to all supporters who braved the elements to support the teams.
Our annual Food Fair is on Saturday 23rd November. As usual there will be a wide variety of dishes on offer with matching wines and of course the traditional glass of bubbly on arrival. All this for €15! Tickets on sale in club shop on Saturday mornings or in Members’ bar any evening or contact Monica @ 087 4150116.

Gala Dinner Dance to celebrate the centenary of the 1920 All Ireland victory by a Faughs team representing Dublin will take place in the Hogan Suite, Croke Park on Saturday 18th January 2020.
It was with great sadness that news of the death of Margaret Murray reached the club at the weekend. Margaret was a great favourite in the club and will be sadly missed especially on Wednesday nights. To her partner Tony, her brothers,sister, extended family and wide circle of friends we extend our deepest sympathy. In Ithealann Dé go raibh a hAnam dílis
