CLUB NOTES 11th AUGUST 2019
HURLFEST EXTRAVAGANZA IN FAUGHS on All Ireland Sunday. If you can’t get to the real thing why not come to Faughs and watch the match on the GIANT outdoor screen or on any of the four indoor screens while the little ones are entertained with petting farm, face painting, traditional games and much more (Fully supervised). Later, following the broadcast Kiera Duignam and Band will perform from approx. 6.00p.m. The Faughs House Band will round off the evening for the adults with Traditional Irish music, an occasion not to be missed !
Senior hurlers had a convincing win over O’Tooles on Sunday morning. A brace of goals from Ruairi Crowley and Chris Bennett plus great performances from Jack McVeigh, Colin Devane and Conor O’Shea ensured victory.
Junior As gave a good account of themselves before going down to St. Vincents. Eddie Hogan gave a display in goals while Niall Horgan, Timmy Murnane, James Murphy and Dan Ryan also excelled.
Best of luck to Faughs player Paul O’Connor who plays in the Cuman na mBun Scoil half time games in Croke Park on All Ireland Sunday.

It is with great sadness that we learned of the death of our dear friend Bartley King. Deepest sympathy to Anne & all of Bart’s family & friends. May he Rest in Peace.
A date for your diaries Dinner Dance in Hogan Suite, Croke Park on Sat. 18th January 2020 when we will commemorate the famous All Ireland win of 1920 plus several other landmark victories.
Get well wishes to Mick Clayton who is hospitalised at the moment.
