CLUB NOTES 12th July 2016
A great week for adult hurling. Following the Jnr As dismissal of St. Patrick’s on Sunday Snr & Jnr B teams lined out on Tuesday evening. Snrs had six points to spare over Kilmacud Crokes B thanks to a commanding display by Emmet McKenna at centre back, Ciaran Brennan at centerfield and Ciaran O’Shea and Fergal Heavey up front, all gave a good account of themselves. Final score 1-15 to 1-12. Jnr Bs had the better of St Sylvester’s thanks to superb work by Colm Glynn, Donal & Timmy Murnane, Darragh O’Shea and Ed FitzGerald. Well done to teams & managements.
Well done to Chloe Mullen, Jen Sullivan & Becca Lewis who all starred in Dunlin’s U/16A All Ireland second round victory over Clare on a score line of 1-14 to 1-08, a win next Sunday away to Waterford will secure an All Ireland semi final berth. Well done to Kate Clarke (Capt.), Emma Ryan, Jessie Murphy & Holly Finnegan on their fine win over Down in first round of All Ireland B Championship, next up Derry for the girls. Brilliant work from all our U/16 Faughs girls, best of luck in the next round!

Fixtures for coming week:- Tonight, Tues Jnr Bs play Whitehall Colmcille in the Championship @ 7:30 in Tymon Nth. On Wed Jnr As are up against Kilmacud Crokes in Silver Park @ 7:30. On Sat 16th Snrs play Oliver Plummets Eagan Road @ 6:30pm in Martin Savage Park and on Sunday 17th AHL 5 are away to Kuala and AHL6 are away to Filmcard Cokes, both of those matches are @ 11am.
Best wishes for a speedy recover to Chris Bennett following his recent back injury while playing for Dublin.
