Club Notes 16th February 2020

All weekend activities were disrupted due to Storm Dennis.

Senior hurlers, under new manager Johnny Greville play Cuala in Osprey on Saturday next 22nd February @ 3.00p.m. weather permitting. All support welcome. Come out and support the team in their first game of the new year.

Huge congratulations to Catherine Costello, Noelle Murphy, Isabelle Costello and Kate Clarke who were part of the UCD team who won the Purcell Cup in WIT over the weekend. Well done also to the all-Faughs management team of Robbie Lewis, Tommy O’Mahony, Liam Costello and David O’Shea. Speedy recovery to Kerry Finnegan who was injured whilst playing for TUD, the opposing team in this final.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Eileen Hearne who is hospitalised at the moment.

Congratulations and best wishes to Tony Massey who celebrates a significant birthday this week.

Faughs 2020 Dates for your calendar – We are planning a number of activities to celebrate the Club’s 135th anniversary and the 100th anniversary of Faughs’ All Ireland Hurling victory in 1920.
