CLUB NOTES 17th November 2015
Underage Championship Fest in the club this weekend. U/21 hurlers started the ball rolling on Saturday with a four point win over St Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh. Great performances from the Bennett brothers and Adam Hogan. On Sunday our Minor B team were unlucky to lose to Cuala. Ciaran Brady, Neill Bennett and Philip Jordan all showed well here. Best wishes for a speedy recovery to Jack McVeigh who suffered an injury in Saturday’s game.
Next up camogie with both our minor teams winning comprehensively. First came our minor B team who swept to a convincing win over Kilmacud Crokes. Then Minor Cs defeated Ballyboden St Endas easily. Well done to all teams and mentor who produced such fine performances in testing conditions.
AHL 2 ‘Top 4’ semi final against St Oliver Plunketts Eoghan Ruadh is on this Sunday @ 11am in Martin Savage Park.
What a night we had on Friday in the Red Cow Pavilion for the Kube. Well done to Supreme Champion Hannah Gleeson who disposed of all competition to take first prize. This family-friendly event was hugely entertaining and a great fundraiser for the Club. A big “Thank You” to organizing committee, competitors and spectators who all helped to make it such an outstanding success. Happy Birthday to Eoin Reynolds who was Twenty Something on Sat.
Faughs Golf Society final outing for 2015 is on Saturday 21st November in Naas Golf Club @ 10am.
