Club Notes 18th August 2019
A big “Thank You” to all who helped to make the Faughs Hurling Festival such a resounding success. Even the inclement weather couldn’t dampen our spirits. Thanks to Kiera Dignam and her band and to our own House Band who entertained the troops when the game was over. This promises to be a popular event for the future.
For the All Ireland Football final, we will have the match on the Big Screen in the Members bar plus games for the kids and Finger food after the game.
Well done to young Paul O’Connor who did the club proud in the half time games in Croke Park on Sunday. Paul scored 1-1 A star for the future no doubt!!
Seniors play Thomas Davis next Sat evening @ 6:30 on the Osprey pitch and AHL 4 are away to St Judes at the same time. Snr camogie Championship V St Judes @ 10am on Sunday on the St Judes pitch. Full list of fixtures on www.faughs.ie

Faughs Members are invited to attend an event in the Club on Saturday 7th September to mark the monumental contribution made to Faughs over many decades by Gus Brennan. Gus held many positions in Faughs including Chairman and Treasurer and was instrumental in the successful development of the club over the last 4 decades. Gus always showed great leadership, fairness and consistency in all the roles he held and set high standards in everything he did and is a great role model. Gus has recently retired and we wish him and his wife Noeleen all the very best in enjoying retirement. Come along on the night from 8 pm and join in the celebrations.

An event in the Club to mark the 20th anniversary of the 1999 winning Senior Hurling Championship winning team and the 1999 winning Junior A Hurling Championship team will be held on Saturday 19th October. Come along and join in the celebrations and memories with these panels of players.
