Senior camogie team had a 5 pt. win over Erins Isle in the Cup on Sunday. Well done team and management.
Div 7 Junior hurlers had a convincing win over St. Brendans on Friday evening. On the juvenile front a mixed week with U16 Div 1 team losing to Ballyboden St. Endas on Wed evening. Minor hurlers lost to Na Fianna on a scoreline of 2-17 to 1-15. Goal scorer was Liam Mostyn. Great performances also from Michael Moore, Sean O’Brien, and Henry Horne. U15 Div. 1 team defeated Thomas Davis by 4 pts.
A big “Thank You” to Darragh Egan who conducted a Coaching Session in the club last Monday night.
It was with great sadness that news of the unexpected death of Eamon Long reached the club last week. Eamon was a club stalwart in the 60s and 70s wearing the no. 3 jersey with distinction for many years winning three senior championships and numerous senior leagues. When his playing career was over Eamon served as vice chairman and administrator and built our clubhouse before relocating with his family to his beloved Scariff. Although living in Co. Clare Eamon never lost touch with the club and was a frequent visitor to the clubhouse and to his old colleagues whenever he came to Dublin. To Kitty, Claire, Carmel, Mary, Una, John and Michael, his brothers, sisters, grandchildren and extended family we send deepest sympathy. Ní bheidh a leithéad ann arís. Deepest sympathy also to Pat Walsh on death of his twin brother Colm. May he Rest in Peace.
