CLUB NOTES 20th October 2015
What an amazing weekend for Camogie Section – On Sat our U/14s clinched the Div 2 Championship by the narrowest of margins (1pt). A wonderful performance by the girls and especially player of the match and future star Rachel Seery. Then on Sunday our U/15s lifted the Div1 Championship Cup beating Good Counsel by 3 pts. This is only the second Div 1 title ever won by juvenile camogie. A really special achievement. Well done to parents, mentors & players!!!
Minor hurlers continued the winning streak with a six-point win over Whitehall Colmcille in the championship quarter-final on Sunday. Conor Doyle gave a “Man of the Match” performance closely followed by Johnny Byrne, Neil Bennett and Jack McVeigh. With an exhibition of goalkeeping from Robbie O’Connell and scoring by Rian Doyle the outcome was never in doubt. Well done to all!
