Club Notes 20th October 2019
Very little action on the fields of play this week but great results from the only two teams on show.
U16B hurlers had a comprehensive win over Castleknock in their championship tie on Saturday. Well done lads.
U14s travelled to Roscrea to play the home side in the Martin Cunningham Memorial Cup and were also convincing winners. A big “Thank You” to Roscrea Club for wonderful hospitality as usual.
Two results which failed to make the notes last weekend – U13A hurlers defeated Naomh Mearnóg comprehensively while the Bs drew with Castleknock.
There was a great buzz around the clubhouse on Saturday night as the championship winning senior and junior teams of 1999 met up to celebrate the 20th anniversary of these great wins. The video of the senior game was shown and the Celebrity Commentator alias Tony McGrath was hilarious. Thanks to Aongus O’Grady for organising this great reunion.
The next big event in the club is the now-famous Food Fair which takes place this year on 23rd November. This is a great club night not to be missed so get your tickets early.
