Club Notes 22nd October 2013
What a fantastic weekend for juvenile camogie. The U/16s were 11 pts down at half time against Na Fianna and put in a massive 2nd half to win by 1 pt. Next up were the U/13s against Good Counsel, after a tight 1st half both teams were level at the break. The Faughs girls battled hard in the second half to win the match by 9 pts, congratulations to Rebecca Lewis on winning Player of the match. With two wins in the bag the pressure was on our U/15 girls who took on a skillful Castleknock team. Our girls got off to a brilliant start and led by 8 pts at half time. Castleknock played some great camogie in the second half and led by 2 pts with 3 minutes left. But 3 unanswered points by Faughs gave a 1 pt win in the end. Well done to all our players and mentors on an unprecedented, very memorable weekend of 3 Championship wins!
