Well done to senior hurling & camogie teams who had important wins this weekend.
Senior hurlers defeated St. Oliver Plunkett/Eoghan Ruadh to gain promotion from Div 1 to ensure AHL 1 status for next year. Massive congratulations to management team Tommy O’Mahony, Richie Hogan, Niall Mullen and to all the players on a job well done.
Senior camogie recorded Faughs Camogie first ever senior 1 Championship victory with a convincing win over Na Fianna.
U16A hurlers had a good quarter-final win over Lucan Sarsfields , they now have a semi-final meeting with Ballyboden St. Endas on Oct. 5th, speedy recovery to James O’Brien who sustained a hand injury in this game.
U13 camogie made their Div. 1 Championship debut in style with a well deserved win v Lucan Sarsfields, next weekend they play Na Fianna at home. Well done to teams and management.
Deepest sympathy is extended to the Heaslip family on the sad unexpected passing of Andy. Ar dheis láimh Dé go raibh a anam dílis.
Club Lotto numbers drawn were 6, 13, 25 and 27. No winner. Two “Match Three” winners – Evelyn Whelehan and Gabrielle McGovern will receive €100 euro each. Next week’s jackpot will be €11,500. A big “Thank You” to all who support our lotto.
