Club Notes 25th August 2019
Senior hurlers had a good league win over neighbours Thomas Davis at the weekend. Junior A team lost to St. Judes. U 16 As drew with Kilmacud Crokes in the championship Faughs 1-9 Crokes 0-12. U15As lost to Naomh Barróg. U14s had a convincing win over Cuala. Senior camogie team lost to reigning champions St. Judes in their championship outing at the weekend. Great to see the girls competing at top level.
The All Ireland Football final will be on the Big Screen in the Members Bar this Sunday. Games for the kids and Finger food after the game.
Faughs Members are invited to attend an event in the Club on Saturday 7th September to mark the monumental contribution made to Faughs over many decades by Gus Brennan. Gus held many positions in Faughs including Chairman and Treasurer and was instrumental in the successful development of the club over the last 4 decades. Gus always showed great leadership, fairness and consistency in all the roles he held and set high standards in everything he did and is a great role model. Gus has recently retired and we wish him and his wife Noeleen all the very best in enjoying retirement. Come along on the night from 8 pm and join in the celebrations.
Congratulations and best wishes for many more years of health and happiness to Fintan and Eileen Lalor who celebrate their Ruby Wedding Anniversary this month. Also to John and Colette Burke who are married forty years this year. Where have the years gone??

Thanks to all who have contributed to clothes collection. One hundred and fifteen bags were donated up to end of June this year and a further one hundred and thirty bags await collection this week. This is an on-going operation and donations may be left at club reception at any time.
