CLUB NOTES 27th JUNE 2017
We had a very busy week on the adult hurling front.
Seniors met St. Patricks (P) in the League on Saturday evening and came away with a convincing win thanks to excellent defensive work by Stephen Casey and Emmet McKenna and a good second-half performance by Ciaran Brennan.
Junior As had St. Vincent’s as opposition twice within four days. On Wednesday evening they met in the championship and on Sunday in the League and came away victorious on both occasions. Highlight of these games was Tom Douglas’s penalty saves on both occasions (must surely be a record). Benny Cahill also starred on Sunday morning.
Junior Bs beat O’Tooles on Tuesday night in the Championship, great performances from Shane Curley, Michael Saunders & Killian Prendergast, on Sunday Morn they played Ballinteer St. Johns and were unlucky to lose by four points to a stronger side.
A great performance by our U/12 lads on Sunday in Nh Olafs blitz beating, Cuala, Kilmacud Crokes and Ballyboden and then beating Crokes even more impressively in the final, fantastic stuff lads!
A huge “Thank You” to everyone who helped to make our Food Fair such an enjoyable occasion on Saturday night. To the chefs who produced such an amazing array of dishes thanks for your enthusiasm and hard work and to the patrons who came along to enjoy the fare we hope you all had a great evening.
