CLUB NOTES 29th SEPTEMBER 2015
An exciting championship weekend. Snr hurlers produced a great performance to draw with a fancied Cuala side. Shane Campion, Emmett McKenna, Sean McCann and Chris Bennett (until his replacement due to injury) were our star performers but it was a huge team effort, well done to Traolach and team. The club would like to thank the Crokes team doctor and Cuala medical staff who came to Chris’s assistance following his injury. A speedy recovery to Chris and also to Ciaran Brennan who also sustained an injury in this game. Junior As lost to Scoil ui Chonaill in their championship game. Junior 7s had a resounding victory v Naomh Barrog on Sunday. A very young team inspired by Robbie O’Connell, Darragh Ambrose, Philip Jordan and Cillian Prendergast came out winners by 3-15 to 1-14. Well done also to our U10 boys who won the O’Tooles tournament. A big “Thank You” to Lennie Rock for superb organization.
On the camogie front – Our Snr 4s beat St Vincent’s (C) team to keep their 100% record and now progress to a semi final. U/13s had a great win against St Vincent’s Div 1. U/14s beat Skerries Div 2 and progress to a semifinal. U/15s beat Erin’s Isle Div 1 and also progress to a semi final and finally U/16s beat St Vincent’s and are now involved in a 3 team play-off for a semi final spot. Well done to all the girls!
