Club Notes 6th October 2019
Commiserations to Senior 1 Camogie team who bowed out of the championship on Sunday losing to a fancied St. Vincents side. A great performance from the girls in their first year in the top division.
U16, 15, 14 and 13s all reached the end of the championship road at semi-final stage over the weekend.
U16 hurlers also lost their championship semi-final game v Ballyboden St. Endas on Saturday.
A big “Thank You” to all players and mentors who gave us such a great year of championship action. To have five teams playing in semi-finals over one weekend is something to be proud of and augers well for the future.
Best of Luck to U/14 Hurlers who take on Ballyboden St Endas in the Div 1 League decider this Saturday 12th Oct in Terenure College @ 3pm.
Congratulations to Schoil Ui Chonaill on winning the Robbie Cooke Cup on Saturday evening.
Sat 19th October is our next big event in the club, a reunion of Senior and Junior A Championship winning teams of 1999. A video of the Senior game will be shown on the night with a special guest commentator being flown in specially for the occasion!! All are welcome to come along and renew acquaintances and revive memories of a great year.
Congratulations to the Cahill family on the arrival of twin boys Dan and Oliver.
Last Thursday’s Irish music night had to be deferred and now takes place this Thursday in the Members’ bar from 9pm. More music on Friday 18th with Pat Keane and friends. All are welcome to come along on either or both nights to enjoy the ceoil agus craic.
