Faughs Community Schools 2025

The Faughs Community Schools event took place at the Faughs Clubhouse on Thursday, 12th June, marking the 11th anniversary of this much-loved event. Over the years, it has become a highlight in the club’s calendar, celebrating the strong links between local schools and the wider community.

This year’s special guest was William Maher, National Head of Hurling, who shared valuable advice and answered questions from the enthusiastic pupils. Attendees represented six local schools: St. Joseph’s and Presentation Primary Schools in Terenure; St. Pius X Girls’ and Boys’ National Schools; Cheeverstown in Templeogue; and, for the first time, Libermann Spiritan School.

For the second consecutive year, Presentation Primary School claimed the overall prize with their projects celebrating Faughs’ remarkable 140th anniversary. The event once again brought together local schools, families, and the wider community, reflecting Faughs GAA’s strong commitment to community engagement and inclusivity.
