This team is for all boys born in 2013, this year 2022 we will compete at U9.

New players are always welcome, come along and try it out to see if it’s your kind of thing before committing to anything. You won’t regret it.

Training takes place on Monday evenings, 6.15 to 7.15 on the astro in St Paul’s secondary school, Greenhills and on Saturday morning at the clubhouse astro from 9.00 to 10.00 am.

We have in excess of 30+ boys that make up the squad. The idea at this age is to master the basic core skills of the game that will allow these lads to develop as players, but most important of all is to have fun while doing it.

How to correctly size and Hurl and why it is so important.

Advice here is from Paudi Butler, national director of coaching for hurling.

None of our lads should currently be using a hurl any bigger than 26″.

You don’t grow into a hurl, if it’s too big it just slows them down and stifles their progress.
