Mixed fortunes for start of U12 leagues

Div 1 team played their opening game re-scheduled to the Astro in Sancta Maria and despite a spirited performance went down to a very sharp Ballyboden team. This match was very high scoring probably reflecting two top teams in action and being played on an astro pitch. Boden 3.15 Faughs 3.6.

Div 8 team had a successful opening to their league with a comprehensive victory over Beann Eadair in Kimmage Manor. The guests were short a few regulars due to Communions etc and the Faughs boys took full advantage running up a score of 7.7 to 1.0. There were some excellent team scores with ‘Heads- up’ hurling being rewarded by a fine spread of scorers on the day. There will be tougher challenges ahead but on Sat the focus and application of the boys was well rewarded.
