Our membership is growing. We need to develop our facilities to match that growth. We need to make plans for the future now.
Our plan is to upgrade our pitches in Tymon and Osprey. People may not notice but there is actually an 8-foot drop on our main pitch. Games are often postponed here due to flooding and training has to be confined to the sidelines to allow grass to recover. In 2018/19 we are going to level, drain and resurface the entire area of this pitch.
The total cost of delivering this project is around €220,000. The good news is that we have secured a Sports Capital Grant of €120,000. Faughs now need to raise the remaining €100,000.
