Senior 2/3 Camogie get New Management Team for 2017
We are delighted to announce the appointment of a New Management Team for our Senior 2/3 Camogie Team.
Faughs Stalwarts Seanie Buckley and Colm Galvin, led by Manager Ciarán Richardson. We understand that, between them, they are holders of 2 All-Ireland Hurling Medals (Admittedly, thanks “mainly” to Seanie!). A former Dublin Senior Hurler, Ciarán played senior hurling for many many years with Faughs. It’s a little known fact that he also played senior football for St Annes, partnering the of-course-much-older Big Joe McNally at midfield way back in the mists of time. Ciarán has experience of management of Senior Camogie Teams in the past with St Annes.
We would like to thank Liam Costelloe and his team for their fantastic stewardship of the Senior Team over the last few hugely successful years. Liam has decided to step down but will of course thankfully remain heavily involved with the Club and County. Thank you Liam.
The Senior 5/6 Team will continue to be Managed by Eoin Reynolds assisted by Robbie Lewis. Both teams have now commenced training in preparation for the Leagues, with all adult players now training as 1 group on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
We wish Eoin, Robbie, Ciarán, Seanie and Colm and of course the Girls every success for the coming season.
