U10 T2 hurlers vs Kevins – 20/02/16

U10 T2 travelled to Dolphin Park to take on St. Kevin’s last Saturday morning. Conditions were tough for everyone – cold swirling wind and rain with occasional biting showers and very heavy conditions underfoot. But all the boys from both sides battled on. With no subs on the side line, there was no place to hide for any of the Faughs 10. Not that any of them showed any signs of wanting to.

We were several scores up at half time after some great scores from 5 different players in the first half.

The message at half time was for everyone to get out and rise the ball at least twice each in the second half. Not everyone managed this but nearly all the boys tried to lift which was fantastic. This is something that really needs to be worked on as a lot of possession is lost relying solely on ground hurling.

Some stand out scores from Adrian & William (who got two off his left) and a man of the match performance from Dara Commins ensured victory by a few points.
