U10s Impress home and away!
It was a trip to the north of the County on Sat 20th Oct for the away squad for the last league fixture of the year versus Balbriggan. Two teams were fielded there, and the FAUGHS boys took to the task from the off putting some great moves and scores together. It was a good opportunity for learning in ideal conditions for hurling – it was clear to see the improving skill levels and game awareness providing much to build on for next season U11. There was a celebratory snack at the end that was well deserved and surely shortened the journey home.
Meanwhile the balance of the squad fielded two teams against JUDES at TYMON, and the extra match arranged ensued that all players got full game time which is so important in developing the playing skills. The matches were evenly contested and the mentors were pleased with the performance levels noting some points on marking and striking to be brought into training over the following weeks.
Well done to all for the performance levels, and particular well done to the MOTM winners who were excellent on the day and received a trophy to mark it.
MOTM Vs Judes were Vihan Neththasinghe and Daniel Harewood; and Vs Balbriggan – Conor Deasy and Seamus Fitzgerald.
