U11 boys welcome GOWRAN to TYMON

The panel welcomed the Kilkenny visitors on Sunday June 30th for friendly match in advance of them attending the Leinster final later.  This builds further the bonds between the two clubs and made for a great morning hurling and social activities.  Twenty three from the panel lined out to play across two streams matching exactly the opposition numbers.  The FAUGHS boys played really well in a high scoring game and displayed great effort and competitiveness and some good passing and scores.  It was pleasing to see the gap closed significantly compared to last year’s fixture albeit with home advantage this time round – but recording a win against such opposition gave cause for celebration!  Well done to all.

There was the opportunity to thank GOWRAN for visiting and wishing them well ahead of the Leinster final clash with Wexford.
