U11 season opening friendly BLITZ

The new season for U11 started on Sat Feb 9^th in TYMON with a BLITZ against local clubs JUDES and ST KEVINS and a visiting team from GREYSTONES. The matches took place as scheduled and this was a credit to all (including groundsmen) as there were challenging weather conditions.  None the less, it was a fantastic opportunity to get match practice in advance of the main county board fixtures kicking off later in the month.  The boys showed great enthusiasm and competed very well across the groups with well over an hour of game time and variety against three different sets of opponents.  It was pleasing to see skill levels improving and increasing levels of competitiveness suitable for this age group and a sense of anticipation for the season ahead.  Overall it was a great morning’s work with lots to build and work on over the coming weeks – well done to all.
