U12 hurlers – FEB 22nd grading games & Croke Park trip

The U12 squad got the competitive season underway with all three teams in action in the grading pools forming the basis of the league divisions later.  Two groups played in ISLAND Bridge against RAHENY & FINGALLIANS – the opposition teams were a bit stronger in both matches on the day, but the FAUGHS players battled hard and gained valuable experience to take away.  The other team from the panel travelled away to WESTMANSTOWN, and similarly found it tough going against strong local opposition.  Overall it was great learning and experience opportunity, and it was great to see 36 U12 boys in action representing their club in tough weather conditions and being very competitive while developing the skills of the game

Later in the day there was a bus trip to CROKE PARK taking 20 from the panel to watch Dublin play Wexford in the hurling league – the purpose of the trip was to foster team spirit and  have a fun outing.  All enjoyed – despite the result!
