U9 boys in St Kevin’s November Cup 18 Nov 2017
St Kevin’s November Cup:
The second day of the above Cup Tournament took place on Sat 18th Nov in St Kevin’s grounds in Dolphins Barn. Faughs U9 Boys had a team of 10 players who played an extended match against Crumlin GAA. In the first half Faughs were getting plenty of possession but scores were not coming their way whereas Crumlin took all their scoring chances. However, following a strong teamtalk from the mentors at half time the Faughs boys lifted their performance to new heights in the second half to complete a sterling comeback with some strong tight defending and brilliant score taking from their midfielders and forwards. After the game it was back to St Kevin’s clubhouse for the medal presentation and well deserved refreshments.
Whilst every Faughs player had a MOTM performance in the second half the MOTM award was given to NOAH O’BRIEN for his consistency throughout the game. It was a brilliant way to end the 2017 Faughs U9 Boys season.
