U9 boys Vs BALLYBODEN St Endas 6 May 2017
It was versus BALLYBODEN on Sat 6th May at KIMMAGE Manor – this was the boys sixth match of the season and it was great to see the improvement continue against strong opposition. The venue was in perfect condition for hurling and the presence of a well-known inter-county manager added to the status of the occasion! It is not every Saturday morning you find the Dublin Senior Football All-Ireland Winning Manager as the opposing U9 Hurling Mentor! Jim Gavin was very generous with his time after the matches posing for photos with many of the Faughs players.
32 boys from the squad took to the field across three very evenly contested matches – it was clear to see all players continue to develop into the skills of the game. The mentors identified what worked well on the day and some areas to improve on to be brought into training the following week. Well done to all for representing their club and themselves so well.
A particular well done to MOTM winners who were excellent on the day
