Faughs’ Mick Kennedy and the Dublin 1961 team honoured
Faughs club stalwart Mick Kennedy and his 1961 Dublin teammates are being honoured this Saturday at the Dublin Senior Hurling Championship Final in Parnell Park where they will be introduced to the crowd at half-time.
The 1961 team were the last Dublin team to reach an All Ireleand Final, losing to Tipperary by a point.
Throw in is 6pm, match will be on RTE2.
Mick also has the unique achievement of getting the very first score in televised hurling when he scored the first point in the Railway Cup Final of 1962!
