Due to technical issues last week’s club notes were not published, a summary of them is included in this week’s notes.
Céad Míle comhgairdeas to Tom Ryan on his appointment to the position of Árd Stiurthoir of CLG. Everyone in Faughs wishes you every success as you take up your new position, Tom.
Well done also to Cuala who joined a unique group of clubs who have won back to back club championships. Thanks to Cuala and Na Phiarsaigh who served up a feast of hurling over the past two weekends.
Saturday 7th April sees the first round of Championship matches. Snr b play Parnells @ 6PM IN Chanel and Jnr As are at home to St Brigids also @ 6pm. Jnr B get their Championship campaign started on Sunday 8th April @ 11am in Tymon Nth against Kevins.
A good performance by Snrs before going down by 7pts to Ahane on Sat last, so Ahane retain the Tony Herbert Cup. A big thank you to Ahane Chairman Colm Barry & his Executive for tremendous hospitality.
Next big Faughs 2020 meeting is on Wed 11th April @ 8pm. All members are encouraged to come along to plan for the future. More details on www.faughs.ie
A great turn out for Captain Eddie Lyons first outing. Welcome to all our new members and congratulations to all the winners. Gus Brennan 1st, Kevin Hughes 2nd and Tom Brophy 3rd. Luke Waldron front 9 and Aongus O’Grady back 9. Roll on The Grange on April 20th.
Deepest sympathy to Eoin Reynolds and family on the death last week of Teresa, mother of Eoin and grandmother of Catherine. Deepest sympathy also to PJ Donohue on the death of his mother Agnes, Grandmother to Trevor & Paul, also deepest sympathy is extended to Sylvia Keane on the death of her father Tom and also to the family of Michael Meagher who passed away last week.

Next Trad Night in the Members’ bar this Thursday 5th April @ 9.45.p.m. Instrumentalists, singers, dancers, storytellers or anyone just interested in Irish culture are all invited to come along and enjoy the craic.
