Senior Camogie Team Win League

The senior camogie team clinched the league with an impressive 5-8 to 1-11 win over a very determined Na Fianna side on Tuesday night and are now promoted to senior 2 for the 2016 season. The win against Na Fianna followed similar important wins over Portobello and Kilmacud Crokes in the final stages of the “Top 4” league. Having just lost out promotion last year by a single point, the girls set their focus early in the year to make amends.

It is also worth a mention of their fantastic run in the Summer Cup. Pitched against Senior 1 and 2 teams, the girls advanced all the way to the final, only to be defeated at the last hurdle by Lucan Sarsfields.

The last few years have been very rewarding for this team given they were playing at Senior 6 only a few short years ago. They now will refocus their sights on the championship which starts next week.
